Nov 17, 2023 ShareWorkers’ compensation provider Texas Mutual Insurance Company has announced that it has selected the grant recipients for the second round of its 2023 request for proposal (RFP) initiative.
Nearly 60 organizations have been awarded a total of almost $4 million to support their workplace development and safety training initiatives, Texas Mutual said. The grants are part of the insurer’s commitment of $8 million in grant funding to nonprofits across Texas.
The grants are awarded for work in two categories:
- Generational learning for working families
- Workplace development and safety training
“We recognize that empowering these nonprofits with grants is an investment in the future for more resilient communities and a stronger workforce for Texas,” said Jackie Sekiguchi, community affairs manager at Texas Mutual. “Each organization inspires us through their dedication to workforce development and safety training.”
