Athene announces $600 million investment grade notes offering

Unsecured notes are due 2034

Athene Holding Ltd, a Bermuda-based financial services company, has announced an agreement to sell $600 million of 5.875% senior unsecured notes that are due in 2034.

The offering will close on December 12, Tuesday, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Wells Fargo Securities, BofA Securities, Goldman Sachs & Co LLC, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.

According to a royalgatte.com article, the net proceeds from the offering are intended to be for general corporate purposes, including capital contributions to support organic growth of its insurance subsidiaries.

Athene specialises in retirement services with a total asset of $269.7 billion (as of September 2023). It operates in Bermuda, the United States, Canada, and Japan.
