BHSI appoints new head of surety claims

He previously served as vice president, surety claims

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Jeff Jubera as the firm’s new head of surety claims.

Robert Romeo, head of claims, North America, at BHSI said that under Jubera’s management, BHSI’s claims team was able to deliver an impeccable claims experience.

“I look forward to seeing all the benefits he will bring to our claims team, customers and brokers in his new role as he continues to impact and shape the future of surety business at BHSI,” said Romeo.

Who is Jeff Jubera?

Throughout his career, Jubera has garnered experience in surety claims and litigation, amounting to more than two decades in the industry. According to his LinkedIn, he went to Michigan State University for his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science as well as his master’s degree in public administration and criminal justice. He also attended the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Prior to his new role, Jubera served as BHSI’s vice president, surety claims as he first joined the firm in 2021. Before joining BHSI, Jubera was the vice president, surety claims at Intact Insurance Company.

He also developed and managed surety claim operations and served as general counsel at the Guarantee Company of North America USA.
