WTW welcomes new managing director for real estate sales management

He joins with two decades of experience in the insurance industry

WTW has announced the appointment of Tyson Stevenson as its new managing director of real estate sales management. He will be a part of the firm’s corporate risk and broking (CRB) business in North America.

“Tyson brings unique industry insight, extensive client experience, and specialized industry vertical expertise with a record of success,” said Mike Chang, head of CRB NA, WTW.

“His ability to optimize client risk strategies based on proven tactics and insights will contribute to the growing success of our real estate, hospitality, and leisure industry division, while also contributing to the achievement of CRB North American objectives,” he added.

Who is Tyson Stevenson?

With more than two decades in the insurance sector, Stevenson’s expertise covers areas such as MGA capacity structuring, transaction liability for M&A, ESOP trustee E&O, D&O/GPL, cyber/E&O, complex property placements, and catastrophe modeling.

Stevenson has previously held leadership positions at NFP (managing director, west region sales leader), USI Insurance Services (executive vice president, commercial lines practice leader, San Francisco Bay Area), JLT Specialty USA (senior vice president), Aon (senior vice president), and Marsh (vice president).

His latest role was as partner for client development at McGill and Partners where he focused on achieving positive client outcomes.

In his new role, Stevenson will produce new business and will play an important part in growing the firm’s real estate portfolio in the upcoming year. He will also serve as a connector between the industry division and the firm’s facultative reinsurance area.

He will be reporting to James Martuscello, who leads the real estate, hospitality, and leisure industry vertical at WTW. Stevenson will be based in San Francisco.
