Exec "is a leader who will drive new growth," CEO says

Jan 22, 2024 ShareAtain Insurance Companies has announced the appointment of Tom Dassow (pictured above) as vice president and head of primary liability.
In his new role, Dassow will oversee the company’s newly formed general liability brokerage unit.
Prior to joining Atain, Dassow led the casualty division at CM Vantage Specialty Insurance Company. He has also held underwriting leadership positions at American Family Brokerage and Global Indemnity.
“With his strong underwriting background and track record of success, Tom is a leader who will drive new growth as part of our brokerage expansion strategy, which will serve as a major pillar of Atain’s long-term success,” said Chris Zoidis, president and CEO of Atain. “Tom will unlock new opportunities for our GL brokerage unit within the excess and surplus casualty sector.”

Atain is a member of the H.W. Kaufman Group, which has more than 60 offices throughout the US, Canada, South America and Europe.
