PenFed Pathfinder Ending $95 Annual Fee Waiver

PenFed is making a significant negative change to the PenFed Pathfinder® Rewards Visa Signature® Card. Cardholders are receiving letters stating that, effective September 28, 2026, the card’s $95 annual fee will no longer be eligible to be waived.

That’s a notable change for PenFed Honors Advantage members, who have been able to get the $95 annual fee waived. Honors Advantage eligibility can be obtained through military affiliation or by having a qualifying PenFed checking account.

The card also up to $100 in annual domestic airline ancillary credits, up to $120 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit and complimentary Priority Pass membership, although lounge visits aren’t free. Those are valuable benefits for what is currently a no-fee card for many.

Guru’s Wrap-up

The ability to waive the $95 annual fee was a big part of what made the Pathfinder an interesting card, especially considering its $100 annual airline incidental credit.
