Last Call, Big Bonus for Capital One Venture X Card
Update: The offer looks like it’s being updated to 75,000 points with $4,000 spend, which is not that bad actually. Referrals are still showing the 100,000 bonus, which requires $10K spending.
Capital One launched a premium credit card late last year, the Capital One Venture X. It quickly became a very popular product for good reason. The card earns 2X miles on every purchase, plus enhanced earn on travel. You get 10X miles on hotels and rental cars, and 5X miles on flights booked via Capital One Travel. The card also comes with straightforward, uncomplicated travel perks. And above all, there’s that big Early Spend Bonus for new applicants, worth at least $1,200. But that big early spend bonus will not last for long. Capital One has informed us that the current offer for the Venture X card is ending on March 14th. Those who apply by March 14th will still be able to earn the 100,000 bonus, and $200 vacation rental credit, but we don’t now what will happen after that. It definitely will not get better.
So if you plan to apply, you should do so over the next two weeks. Keep in mind that the card also comes with impressive benefits for free authorized users, and a vacation rental credit that’s quite easy to use. And once you apply, you can also refer friends and earn up to 100,000 miles per year for referring friends (up to 4 referrals per year; 25,000 miles awarded per referral). That’s $250 in value for every person that you refer.
