Original article (Oct 24, 2020) – Discover is targeting some cardholders with an offer to add an authorized user for a bonus of $25. The offer is targeted and you must have received an email from Discover directly in order to qualify.
If you are targeted for this offer, all you need to do is add an authorized user and make a purchase before November 30, 2020. It can be a purchase of any amount, there’s no minimum spend requirement.

This is an easy bonus for those who receive teh offer directly either by email, or in your Discover account. You can make any small purchase to get that $25 bonus.
Just keep in mind that most likely, an authorized user’s card will show up in their credit report. You can often try and remove it from the report by calling the issuer or the credit bureaus. And if you are worried about Chase 5/24, you can explain in a reconsideration call that one or more account are authorized user accounts.
