Citi Dividend Q1 2023 5% Categories
Citi has released the calendar for the first quarter of 2023 for the 5% Cash Back categories on the Citi Dividend card. This card is no longer available, but many people still have it. It has no annual fee and also comes with rotating 5% categories, similar to Chase Freedom Flex and Discover it.
The categories where you can earn 5% during the upcoming first quarter of 2023 are:
- Amazon: Includes all purchases made at Amazon.com.
- Select Streaming Services: Includes the following cable, satellite, and streaming providers: Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Disney+, DirecTV Stream, ESPN+, fuboTV, HBO Max, NBA League Pass, Netflix, Pandora, Paramount+, Showtime, Sling TV, Spotify, Starz, SiriusXM, Vudu, YouTube Red, YouTube TV, and Tidal.
You can activate these categories here, once it becomes available. This offer starts within two business days of when you enroll, or January 1, 2023, whichever is later, and ends on March 31, 2023. During the offer period, you will earn an additional 4% cash back on purchases at eligible merchants. Your total annual (calendar year) cash back is limited to $300 and includes additional cash back earned in connection with this offer.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
The total cash back you can earn with the card is $300 per calendar year. So you’ll get 5% on up to $6,000 spend for the whole year, and you could maximize it all within one quarter if you prefer. Citi Dividend’s 5% categories for Q1 2023 include Amazon and Select Streaming Services. Amazon is probably the most useful category, unless you already have the Amazon card.
Also don’t forget about the current quarter’s categories. You can earn 5% at restaurants and select travel.
If you don’t have the Citi Dividend card, take a look at the new 5% card from Citi, the Custom Cash card.
