Accord updates customers and brokers on Homes for Ukraine scheme

by administrator

Accord Mortgages has advised customers that have been accepted onto the Homes for Ukraine scheme that there will be no changes to their current mortgage product.

In an update, Accord Mortgages said that those who have been accepted onto the government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme will not need to advise they have been accepted or provide any information.

Accord explained that the aim is to remove any barriers for customers wanting to take in Ukrainian refugees.

Since the UK government announced the creation of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, Accord Mortgages managing director Jeremy Duncombe says the intermediary-only lender has been “committed to supporting any of our borrowers who wish to open their homes to those fleeing the horrendous conflict in Ukraine”.

“We’ve worked on making it as easy and simple as possible for those who want to help to do so. By removing any need for brokers or borrowers to contact us once they’ve been accepted to the Homes for Ukraine scheme this takes away further administration for borrowers that are helping people in unimaginable situations,” Duncombe adds.
