Alaska Airlines Opens New Premium Lounge at Portland Airport

Alaska Airlines Opens New Portland Airport Lounge

Alaska Airlines has officially opened a new lounge at Portland International Airport (PDX), further expanding its premium offerings for travelers on the West Coast. The new space represents a major investment by the airline and comes as Portland continues to grow as one of Alaska’s most important hubs.

The opening also coincides with the transformation of Portland International Airport, which recently unveiled its redesigned main terminal featuring the airport’s striking new mass timber roof and expanded passenger facilities.

The new Alaska Lounge spans approximately 14,000 square feet and offers seating for more than 200 guests, making it nearly twice the size of the airline’s previous Portland lounge. Located near the airport’s B and C concourses, the space features floor-to-ceiling windows, locally inspired artwork, and design elements that reflect the Pacific Northwest.

Guests can enjoy complimentary food and beverages, barista-crafted espresso drinks, cocktails, high-speed Wi-Fi, private workspaces, and Alaska’s Signature Loungers. The airline says the menu will emphasize local flavors and regional products, continuing a trend seen throughout its lounge network.

Portland has become an increasingly important market for Alaska Airlines, with the carrier now operating more than 100 daily departures to destinations throughout North America.

The airline views PDX as a key gateway for travelers throughout the Pacific Northwest and has continued investing in facilities and customer experience enhancements at the airport.

The lounge opening is also part of Alaska’s broader strategy to expand and modernize its lounge network. Over the last several years, the airline has invested heavily in premium amenities as it competes for high-value travelers and grows its presence across the West Coast.

Access to the new lounge is available to Alaska Lounge members, Alaska Lounge+ members, eligible first-class passengers, and qualifying oneworld travelers. The new facility is now open and welcoming guests at Portland International Airport.
