Amtrak Opens Metropolitan Lounge at Moynihan Train Hall
Moynihan Train Hall, the expanded Penn Station in midtown Manhattan in New York City has a new full-service bar dubbed Metropolitan Lounge. The former ClubAcela, is a premium lounge space providing higher-tier Amtrak customers with a high-quality experience. Located in the Mezzanine level and open seven days a week (5am to 9:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 9pm on weekends), the lounge will be stocked food and rotating seasonal selections from local breweries like Montauk Brewing Company, Five Boroughs Brewing, Empire Brewing Company and Brooklyn Brewery, and more.
Guests can also enjoy complimentary snacks, pastries, yogurt parfaits, fruit, salads, sandwiches, and La Colombe specialty coffee (i.e., espresso, lattes, americanos, etc.) throughout the day. All prepacked items are served by an attendant behind the service counter.
In accordance with New York City’s Emergency Executive Order No. 225, everyone 12 and older is required to show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to enter the Metropolitan Lounge at Moynihan Train Hall. All guests 12 and older is required to show proof they have received 2 vaccine doses, except for those who received the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Starting on January 28, 2022, children 5 to 11 must also show proof of full vaccination.

Lounge Access
The lounge is available for Amtrak Guest Rewards Select Executive and Select Plus members, Acela First Class and private room customers and Single-Day Pass holders, with same-day reservations. Amtrak Business Class passengers can also buy day passes for $50.
