Global broking business Brokerslink has announced the addition of 1783 Group, a sports, music, and entertainment contingency broker, to its network.
1783 Group offers expertise in areas such as event cancellation and liability, nonappearance, prize indemnity, contractual bonus, sports disability, entertainers’ disability, as well as more esoteric risks like death and disgrace, personal accident travel, booking refund/ticket cancellation and revenue, balance sheet protection, and bloodstock/livestock.
Based in London, the brokerage was founded in 2021 by Joe Arnold, Matt Mealey and Charlie Pearson. It works across the UK and America, as well as international brokers, with a five-person person team at the center of the business.
In a news release, 1783 Group co-founder Joe Arnold said becoming a specialist affiliate in Brokerslink’s network provides avenues to connect with new colleagues and pursue further innovation.
“We are looking forward to being a part of Brokerslink,” said Arnold. “The network shares the same values as us, with a commitment to delivering strong service levels and establishing trust-based relationships with clients.”
“Brokerslink will be a great asset to us as we strive to find innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges. Being a part of this network will connect us to new colleagues around the world and enable us to share our expertise in this area.”
Carla Alves, network engagement and operations director at Brokerslink, welcomed the addition of 1783 Group, highlighting the growing significance of tailored insurance solutions in light of recent global events.
“The specialist wholesale broker will be a great addition to our affiliates and partners as they can share their knowledge in the network,” said Alves. “In recent years, we’ve seen an increase in event cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, which has had a global impact on businesses, and so now more than ever, it is crucial to be prepared for such risks.”
“At Brokerslink, we’re always searching for new ways to help our broker partners and affiliates respond to their needs, by giving them access to specialized insurance and risk solutions. We are pleased to welcome 1783 Group to the network.”
Last year, Brokerslink added six technology firms to its network as part of a program focused on a “new era of digitalization.” These additions were the first non-broking or risk consulting firms to join the network since its establishment in 2004.
