Chase Sapphire Cards Double Dip Trick Dead?

For quite a while now it has been possible to apply for both Chase Sapphire credit cards if you are an existing Chase customer and have not received a welcome bonus in the last 48 months. This was known as an MDD trick that involves applying for the two cards in consecutive days.
