Citi Strata Elite Details
Citi shared recently that the Citi Strata Elite card will launch in Q3. However, it could launch as soon as this weekend based on information shared by FM. That article also adds a few more details about the card, in addition to a previous rumor and a recent comment at DoC.
We still do not know what the signup bonus will be on the new Strata Elite card. But the rumored benefits include:
- Annual Fee: $595 or $650 ($75 or $95 for AUs)
- $145 Annual Fee discount with CitiGold (requires $200K+ balance)
- Earn:
- 12X on hotels, car rentals and attractions booked through Citi Travel
- 6X on air travel booked through Citi Travel
- 6X at restaurants on Citi Nights (every Friday and Saturday from 6PM to 6AM)
- 3X at restaurants any other time
- 1.5X on all other purchases
- Priority Pass
- $300 Annual travel credit for Citi Travel bookings
- $240 Splurge Credit for select merchants
- Admirals Club access (4 annual passes)
- Strata Lounge access when/if these lounges actually get built
- TSA PreCheck/Global Entry credit
- More coupons
- The card will likely be the first in the new top tier World Legend Mastercard, so… Citi Strata Elite World Legend Mastercard?
- Transfers to American Airlines ( Not at first, but that should be coming later via a separate project)
Current Prestige cardholders will be product changed to the Strata Elite.
Guru’s Wrap-up
There are now multiple sources that have similar details about the card. So my guess is that most of these benefits will come with the Citi Strata Elite card in some form.
The card sounds somewhat interesting, but we obviously need to know more details. Plus the signup bonus has not been revealed yet, and that will be a major deciding factor on whether it makes sense to apply for this new card.
Excited? Let us know in the comments!
