CRC Group has announced the appointment of Chris Carlson as director of the property practice within the company’s Commercial Solutions Division. Carlson will take the role at the end of August.

Carlson has more than 15 years of experience in insurance carrier underwriting and leadership roles. He will join the property practice leadership team, which includes chairmen Ed Magliaro and Paul Martin.

“Chris has an exceptionally strong background and skill set that we are excited to bring to our property practice to benefit our clients, carriers and property teams,” said Mike Brennan, CEO of CRC Group’s Commercial Solutions Division. “Our property practice is widely respected in the wholesale industry for its experience and expertise, and with the addition of Chris, I am confident we will provide our retail clients even better data, analytics, and products to allow them to deliver winning solutions for their insureds.”

CRC Group’s property practice uses data-driven insights delivered by the company’s proprietary REDY platform and offers CRC’s proprietary Insurisk suite of products, which offer CRC Group’s brokers and underwriters dedicated capacity to fill complex property capacity needs.

“We are investing heavily in our property practice to better serve our clients and support our brokers and underwriters,” Brennan said. “We have launched new exclusive property products under our Insurisk brand, with two additional programs still scheduled to launch this year. We are also rolling out some exciting technology in our REDY platform to bring efficiency, on-demand modeling, and additional data and analytics support to our property brokers in the coming months.”
