They include a chief reinsurance buyer

Jan 23, 2024 ShareFortegra Group, Inc, a global specialty insurer and subsidiary of Tiptree Inc, has made significant additions to its leadership team, appointing Eric Halter as senior vice president for business development and Bianca Hoshina as chief reinsurance buyer. According to a Press release, the move fortifies the capabilities of Fortegra’s specialty team and aligns with the company’s commitment to the program space.
With an impressive career spanning over 35 years in the insurance and financial sectors, Halter brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His most recent position was as managing director of AF Specialty, part of AF Group, Inc. Prior to this, Halter served as the president of Patriot Captive Management.
“This opportunity marks a significant milestone in my career; I am excited to leverage my extensive program experience alongside the talented team at Fortegra to reinforce their continued success in the specialty markets,” said Halter.
Meanwhile, Hoshina has over two decades of expertise in the reinsurance sector. Before joining Fortegra, she served as the chief reinsurance officer at Centauri Insurance Specialty Company. Hoshina’s extensive experience includes taking on important roles at reinsurance companies, including Tokio Millennium, Renaissance Re, and Montpelier Re.
“I am thrilled to become a part of the Fortegra family and look forward to contributing my skills and expertise to further enhance Fortegra’s reputation as an industry innovator,” said Hoshina.
Both Halter and Hoshina will report to Mark Rattner, chief underwriting officer for insurance at Fortegra, ensuring a cohesive and strategic alignment of their roles within the company’s leadership structure.
