Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced that it has acquired the assets of the retail agency business of Coverys Insurance Systems, a full-service insurance broker based in East Lansing, Mich. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Coverys Insurance Services specializes in medical malpractice and professional liability for healthcare clients across Michigan, Gallagher said in a news release.

As part of the acquisition, the Coverys team will remain in its current location, reporting to Ryan Isaacs, head of Gallagher’s Midwest regional retail P&C brokerage operations.

Coverys Insurance Services is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Gallagher.

Earlier this month, the brokerage giant snapped up Connecticut-based WDK Benefits and The Evans Agency, a commercial P&C firm headquartered in Williamsville, N.Y.
