Gallagher has announced its acquisition of Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance, a San Diego-based retail broker specializing in transportation. Other transaction details were not disclosed.

Hartley Cylke Pacific operates and serves clients throughout California and Arizona. As part of the buyout deal, Michael Hartley, John Cylke, James Hawes, and the rest of the team will remain in the current location under the direction of Gallagher Southwest region retail P&C brokerage head Scott Firestone.

“Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance's deep expertise in the transportation market will enhance our growth opportunities in the region,” Gallagher chairman, president, and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher said. “I am delighted to welcome Michael, John, James and their associates to Gallagher.”

Gallagher’s latest swoop follows a series in recent months. Recently, the firm announced its acquisition of Ace Commercial in California and Eastern Insurance in Massachusetts.
