Navy veteran joins firm "at a time of rapid organizational growth"

Jan 17, 2024 ShareIndependent personal lines insurance agency Goosehead Insurance has announced the appointment of David Lakamp as chief service officer.
In his new role, Lakamp will lead the service organization to support Goosehead’s next phase of expansion.
Lakamp has more than 14 years of industry experience. He joins Goosehead from USAA. Prior to his insurance career, Lakamp spent 11 years in military leadership in the US Navy, where he served as a flight officer and led 87 combat missions. Lakamp is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School.

Last year, Goosehead purchased Vivint Smart Home’s insurance book of business, which included more than 15,000 insurance policies.
