Inszone Insurance Services has bolstered its trucking insurance portfolio with the acquisition of Southwest Insurance.

The agency was originally established in 1920 and evolved into Southwest Insurance in the 1970s. Primary owner Jesse Frohn took over in 2006 and steered the company toward a focus on trucking.

Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, was enthusiastic about the deal.

“We are eager not only to expand our footprint in the industry but also to provide additional resources and support to Southwest Insurance’s clients,” Walters said in a news release.

The deal is the latest in a string of acquisitions for Inszone. Last month, the national broker announced the acquisition of Colorado-headquartered High Desert Insurance and Kansas-based American Heritage Agency.
