Monifi Bank Shutting Down, Transitioning to MidFirst

Monifi, a fee-free mobile bank, is shutting down. The bank informed current customers by email today Monifi relationships will be transitioned to the MidFirst Bank brand on September 21, 2022.

There’s no immediate impact if you have a Monifi Relationship, and no action is required by you at this time. Monifi customers may continue to use their Orange Debit Card and access their accounts through the Monifi App or online at monifi.com. And, as Monifi is a division of MidFirst Bank, customer deposits remain in FDIC-insured accounts.

Additional information will be provided to customers on August 3, 2022 with details on how to transition to the MidFirst technology platform or close their Monifi Relationship. Please see a list of anticipated questions with answers below.

I have written about Monifi in the past as they offered a signup bonus that expired end of May. If you opened an account and are still working on the bonus requirements, you should be fine. You have until September 12, 2022 to complete the requirements of the promotion to receive the incentive.

You can read more details about the transition here.
