New Chase Points Boost Feature, Transfer Your Points Before October 26th for More Value

If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card for example and you use Points Boost, your points are worth 2x when you book a hotel that’s part of The Edit, and up to 2x when redeemed for both thousands of other top-booked hotels and flights with select airlines through Chase Travel.

Chase Sapphire Preferred cardmembers will find similar deals. Your points are worth up to 1.5x on thousands of both top-booked hotels and flights with select airlines, and up to 1.75x on premium cabin tickets on select airlines when booked through Chase Travel.

Eligible Cards

With Points Boost you get 2 cents per point on select hotels and flights with select airlines and 1.5 cents (points earned before 10/26/2025, and redeemed by 10/26/2027, 1 cpp after that) on all other Chase Travel purchases with:

You also get 1.5 cents per point on select hotels and 1.75 cents on flights with select airlines, as well as 1.25 cents (points earned before 10/26/2025, and redeemed by 10/26/2027, 1 cpp after that) on all other Chase Travel purchases with 

Timeline

Chase is giving existing cardholders a few months before the Points Boost goes into effect, replacing the current elevated redemptions.

So all points earned before October 26, 2025 will still be eligible to be redeemed for 1.25 or 1.5 cents on all Chase Travel purchases until October 26, 2027. That includes not only points that you earn with an eligible card for Points Boost, but also any points earned with other cards as long as you transfer to a Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred or Ink Preferred card for example.

So if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you should probably transfer all your Ultimate Rewards points there, so they become eligible for a 50% redemption bonus. That would let you redeem points for a value of 1.5 cents each on all Chase Travel purchases until October 26, 2027.

On top of that, you will also be eligible for Points Boost for 2 cents per point on select hotels and flight purchases.

If you don’t have one of the cards that gets a 50% redemption bonus, than you should transfer to one of the three cards that get a 25% bonus instead. That includes Sapphire Preferred, Ink Business Preferred, and Ink Business Plus. You should also consider which card you plan to keep until October 26, 2027.

Keep in mind that you can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to somebody else in your household. That could be useful if you don’t have a Sapphire Reserve, but your spouse does.

How Points Boost Works

To start booking just head to chasetravel.com and enter your username and password.

Then, search for a hotel or flight based on your travel dates, just as you normally would. You’ll notice a blue rocket ship next to some of your results, as well as featured offers up at the top. These are the Points Boost offers.

You can select the toggle to filter your list of results to see only Points Boost offers.

Points Boost flights and hotels will show the number of points you need to book today, alongside the number of points if your selection was not part of Points Boost. That makes it easy to see the extra value you are getting for your points.

Add your selection to your cart and choose how many points you’d like to redeem.
