Nottingham Building Society has hired Alison Pallett as its new sales director.

Pallett joins the society from LiveMore Capital where she was managing director of sales, having joined the lender in May 2019. Prior to this, she held various roles at Bank of Ireland for over 10 years, the last five as director of sales – UK mortgages.

Pallett has also previously been a director at the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association.

Of her new appointment, she says: “I was struck by the commitment of The Nottingham to growing its mortgage business and the opportunity that exists in these turbulent times to make mutuality matter. The business is passionate about supporting homeowners, and I share that same passion. I am delighted to be joining the business and excited by the opportunity here.”

Nottingham chief lending Officer John Eastgate says: “Bringing Alison into the business is a huge coup for The Nottingham. Not only is she widely respected across industry, but as we pivot towards a strategy built on mortgage lending, she brings a level of capability that can deliver enormous value to the Society. I’m delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Pallett’s appointment marks the latest in a series of additions to The Nottingham since chief executive Sue Hayes joined in January and Eastgate took up his role in May. The lender has also recently hired Paul Howley as its first ever chief technology and transformation officer.
