The Right Mortgage joins Ami

by administrator

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has joined the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (Ami).

The firm says its appointed representatives will have access to the trade body’s regular updates on legal and regulatory issues that impact the mortgage market as well as its monthly newsletter.

The business, founded in 2015, says it has over 700 members across more than 350 firms.

Its members will also have access to the association’s website, which has a database of factsheets, technical guidance, as well as industry viewpoints on protection and diversity, equity and inclusion.

The association, founded in 2003 and led by chief executive Rob Sinclair, says: “Our objective is to promote the provision of good advice as an essential part of a healthy market for mortgages, which operates in the interests of consumers.

“To represent mortgage intermediaries in the UK and act to maintain a positive and ethical business environment by working with politicians, regulators and other industry bodies.”

The Right Mortgage Network compliance director Ben Allen says “Being part of a trade body such as Ami adds to our credibility and enhances our proposition. It also offers us the chance to increase engagement with the regulator.

“I have long admired the work that Rob Sinclair and everyone at Ami are doing. They really understand the challenges mortgage intermediaries are facing and provide an excellent platform along with necessary support to meet and overcome these.”

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries’ Sinclair adds: “Ami is pleased to welcome The Right Mortgage & Protection Network to membership.

“With the challenges facing the industry it is critical that AMI has the sector behind it and is able to listen to all voices.

“As we confront the green agenda and changes to the appointed representative regime we look forward to working together to ensure balanced decisions”
