We are excited to announce the addition of our two newest dentists, Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Wooten. Please join us in welcoming them to River Run Dental!
DR. jennifer wheeler
Dr. Jennifer Wheeler has practiced dentistry in Richmond for the past several years and is really looking forward to joining the team at River Run. She is originally from Northern Virginia, but has lived in Richmond for the past 11 years. Dr. Wheeler was a recognized University Scholar during her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology she completed her D.D.S degree at the VCU School of Dentistry as well. Dr. Wheeler will be seeing patients at our Richmond and Short Pump offices.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, exploring Richmond’s culinary scene with friends, hunting for antique furniture and home decor, learning to cook new dishes, and working on art projects. She also is actively involved in using her professional dental skills and knowledge to give back to the local community.
Dr. Wheeler serves as a volunteer dentist and adjunct faculty member overseeing VCU dental students at the Mechanicsville Free Dental Clinic. Additionally she is a veteran volunteer, routinely participating in projects providing dental care for underserved populations such as the local Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects as well as international mission trips.
DR. bryant wooten
Dr. Wooten was born and raised in Cary, North Carolina. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill where he earned a BS in Biology and competed on the swimming and diving team as a springboard diver. He completed his dental training at the VCU School of Dentistry where he fell in love with Richmond.
After a stint of working in community health dentistry in Philadelphia, PA, he is thrilled to be back in the south. You can find Dr. Wooten at a local brewery or walking his two dogs around the fan! Dr. Wheeler will be seeing patients at our dental offices in Richmond, VA and Midlothian, VA.
